Saxon Partners with OneTRADEx to Promote Investment Club in Cayman Islands' Schools

The eighth annual Saxon Investment Club program for local high school and college students has attracted a new partner for the 2016-2017 school year.
OneTRADEx, Cayman's only fully licensed broker dealer that offers online trading services to individual investors, traders, hedge fund managers and family offices, has joined forces with Saxon to stage this year's program.
Students will benefit from demo accounts set up by OneTRADEx, whose trading platform is built on software that operates in real time and produces reports of investing activities. A team of Saxon coordinators will administer the program.
Saxon Investment Club is an extra-curricular program that allows students to gain practical insights into investing, money, the stock market, stock trends, and starting and running a business. The program runs from October 2016 to March 2017.
Students simulate real life trades, using an initial sum of $100,000 which they are given to invest. They work in teams and are supervised by teachers who monitor their learning and progress. Monthly prizes, sponsored by OneTRADEx, are awarded for top performance and at the end of the six-month program, a winning team is selected, based on the highest net value of the investments made. Cash prizes are awarded for the teams top three teams and teachers also receive incentives for supporting the program.
Prizes are sponsored by Silver Thatch Pensions, Saxon, the Ministry of Education and OneTRADEx.
The Investment Club program is jointly sponsored by Saxon Insurance and Saxon Pensions, agent for Silver Thatch Pensions.
